About Us

We were high school sweethearts in Texas in the late 60′s. We’ve been married for 38 years. We’ve served with Campus Crusade for Christ for 34 years. During the late 70s, we left America for Nigeria with one child. In the early 90′s we returned with 3 children. Overseas, we taught school, produced Jesus films in local languages, but mostly we discipled Nigerians. In the U.S., we pioneered internet evangelism and discipleship.
Our 3 children are now adults and live all over the place. The family has expanded in recent years to include 2 daughters-in-love and 3 grandchildren. Soon we’ll add a 4th grandchild. We’ve lived on 2 continents and visited 3 dozen countries. During our travels, we’ve learned that everyone is searching for a meaningful life. We know they can find that fulfillment by discovering Christ who said, “I came that you might have life abundantly, full of meaning and satisfaction.” That’s why we serve and live the way we do.
We love relating to other people. We love relating to each other. We love relating to our children and grandchildren. We enjoy life together.
And it’s been a very different and interesting life together.

For me, life started out pretty much like others. Loving home, Little League, Boy Scouts, church activities, fishing and hunting, and family vacations were part of the fabric of my life.
Different began in college. During my junior year at Texas A&M (whoop!), someone helped me understand that the God who created and loved me had a plan for my success in life. That’s when different really began.
That year, Kay and I married and different lives became one, different futures became one, and different personalities… well they’re still different!
We became very involved in helping others come to know God’s love for them also. After a short time as an electrical engineer developing electronic systems, Kay and I joined the full-time staff of Campus Crusade for Christ. That’s when different took on a whole new meaning.
We packed up our year old daughter and moved to Nigeria in West Africa. What started as a 2 year adventure in international living turned into a 15 year life-changing experience. Now after 32 years, different has become a career in helping people understand God’s love for them and his power to give them lives of intense satisfaction.

I like watching people. I like reading books. I love children, especially my own and theirs. I like playing games and watching sports. I like making lists and checking off things accomplished. I like working behind the scenes. I like making sure the details are done.
I am happy being the baby sister. I am content to be the follower. So how come I end up being out front? This is something I frequently ask God. His reply includes phrases like: I have a plan for you; I am with you; I will give you strength. All of these are truths that He continues to build into my life.
I like being at home and being with family. So how did this small town girl end up traveling the world? God has a wonderful plan for your life, the booklet I read started. I am amazed at where His plan has taken us.
